Under individual insurance the contracting parties are Insurer and the insured or policy holder (in case of insurance on other lives, it is the proposer) under group insurance the contracting parties are Insurer and the Employer, Nodal Agencies, Unions, Co-op Societies or any representative of the group to be covered.
