Will the insurance cover up the campus housing charges?
The answer is Yes! You can use your loan for anything, which is related to college. It is a loan and not a grant and so loans can be used for anything. Most would say and agree that Campus housing is legit. Your financial aid office at the college will be the ultimate arbiter of what is legit.
